Gym-based Sports Rehabilitation

At our Harlow clinic, we are fortunate to have a fully equipped gym space, providing the perfect environment for both assessment and rehabilitation. This specialised facility is particularly valuable for post-operative recovery and sports injury rehabilitation, allowing our physiotherapists to conduct essential return-to-play tests, such as balance assessments, jump testing, and resistance exercises using weights.

We actively encourage a gym-based or exercise-focused rehabilitation program alongside your physiotherapy treatment. This approach helps speed up your recovery, ensures a safe return to sports and daily activities, and reduces the risk of re-injury. Rather than just addressing the symptoms, our programs take a whole-body approach to fix the root cause of the issue, ensuring long-lasting results rather than a temporary quick fix.

Additionally, our gym space enables us to perform gait analysis, where your physiotherapist can assess your walking or running mechanics. Identifying any biomechanical imbalances allows us to implement corrective strategies that target both the cause and effect of your condition.

For more complex rehabilitation needs, we also have access to the main gym facilities at Leisurezone. This allows us to take patients through more advanced training, whether you need to be put through your paces in a controlled setting or require guidance on safely returning to your usual gym routine. Your physiotherapist can work with you in real-time, ensuring proper technique and introducing tailored exercises to build strength and confidence post-injury.

With our expert-led gym-based rehabilitation, we aim to get you back to doing what you love—stronger, safer, and more resilient than before.
